PIERING SOLUTIONS

Do you need piering solutions? Here's what you need to look out for...

What You See:

  • Damp or Wet Basements: Standing water and dampness on the walls and floors and visible water stains are signs of water intrusion
  • Pooling Water Around the Foundation: Accumulation of water around the exterior of the foundation after rain.
  • Mold and Mildew: The presence of mold or mildew on walls or ceilings and musty odors in the basements or crawl spaces indicate a need for waterproofing.
  • Cracks in Walls or Foundation: Hydrostatic pressure due to excess water in the soil surrounding your foundation can cause cracks and movement possibly visible  from both the interior and exterior .
  • Peeling Paint or Wallpaper: moisture in the walls can be the cause of paint or wallpaper peeling
  • Efflorescence: White, powdery substance on walls, which is a sign of salt deposits left behind by evaporating water.
  • Warped or Buckled Floors: Wooden floors that are warped or buckled due to water damage.
Here's where we come in...

The Solution:

Resistance piers, also known as push piers, are a type of foundation support system used to stabilize and lift, settled or sinking foundations.

Resistance piers are effective in addressing foundation settlement caused by factors such as soil shrinkage, soil consolidation, or poor compaction during construction. They are versatile and suitable for various soil types, making them a solid choice for foundation repair and stabilization projects and materials.

How it Works...

Installation

Resistance piers are hydraulically driven or mechanically screwed into the ground beneath the foundation until they reach load-bearing soil or bedrock. This depth is crucial to ensure the piers can provide sufficient support.

Load Transfer

Resistance piers are hydraulically driven or mechanically screwed into the ground beneath the foundation until they reach load-bearing soil or bedrock. This depth is crucial to ensure the piers can provide sufficient support.

Lift and Stabilization

Once the piers are in place, they can be used to lift and stabilize the foundation. Hydraulic jacks or other lifting mechanisms are employed to raise the foundation to its original level or a desired elevation.

The products we install are code compliant with independent ICC-ES Reports (International Code Council Evaluation Service). We then calculate the weight and resistance loads of the structure and design a system which will lift and restore your property to its original level condition.
